Solution

Uninstalling and Reinstalling the MP Drivers

If the MP Navigator or the MP drivers are no longer required, or if they are non installed correctly, uninstall them. Reinstall the drivers if mistake messages occur or if the device does not operate correctly.

Annotation:

  • When multiple Canon inkjet printer drivers or Canon scanner drivers such as ScanGear MP or ScanGear CS are installed in the computer, perform the following to delete them ALL. (Yous cannot choose which 1 to delete or which ane to keep.) Install the printer driver with the CD-ROM prepackaged with the printer or download information technology from the Canon website to reinstall.
  • Login with a user proper name with the Computer administrator account type to delete the MP drivers. Regarding Administrator users, please refer to the Mac Os X possessor's transmission.
  1. Close all running applications - including antivirus software.
  2. Disconnect the USB cable at the printer.
  3. Open up Applications, Utilities, and double-click the 'Printer Setup Utility' icon.**

    **Leopard (10.5.x) users click hither.

    Note: Printer Setup Utility varies depending on the Mac OS X version.
    When your Mac Os X version is older than Ver. ten.three.x, double-click Print Heart.

  4. In the Printer Listing dialog, select all the printers added to the Printer List so click 'Delete'.

    Note: The window will non exist displayed depending on the printer model.

  15. Click 'Restart'.

Note: If the installation fails earlier fully completing, please install the MP drivers again. In some circumstances uninstallation may be required earlier attempting to install again.

Deleting the Printer from the Printer List (Mac OS Ten ver ten.5.10)

1.In the Apple menu, open System Preferences.

2. Open Print and Fax.

3. Be sure that the printer to be deleted is highlighted in the Printers section.

iv. Click the Minus (-) sign, and then click 'OK' on the confirmation bulletin. The printer is deleted.

5. Return to Step 5 of uninstall instructions , to a higher place .
